Welsh Labour

Do you believe a trade deal with the EU must give Wales full and unfettered access to the single market?

Will you resist ‘no deal’ with the EU and defaulting onto WTO terms?

Will you support a meaningful vote on the final Brexit deal?

Will you support Wales continuing to receive its current level of total funding?

On the Single Market – it is clear nevertheless that a bespoke deal is needed which will involve compromise on both sides on the issue of freedom of movement in order to address the legitimate concerns of many on immigration. I endorse Carwyn Jones’ proposals in this regard – where movement of labour and residency rights must be linked to jobs, and where reciprocal rights are not automatic – but based on contributions, length of residency etc. As per other immigration systems (eg Canada).
